Job Summary:

Ladder Health is a healthcare technology startup that has just launched in Massachusetts to support young children (ages 0-6) with developmental delays or concerns. We’re looking for a founding Product Designer who is excited at the early chance to be a vital part of Ladder Health’s important mission.

As an early-stage product designer, you will have the opportunity to significantly shape our user experience and design. This is an incredible chance to directly impact the lives of young children and their families by enabling increased access to equitable care, a delightful patient experience, and improved clinical outcomes.

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and design standards of our product. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product and business development team members to build innovative solutions that address user needs and enhance our product experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team leadership and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, design, and UX.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance and improve user experiences.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and design standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Experience working closely with engineers to drive product development and define constraints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in health tech startups or on fast-paced, lean teams.
